That's thoroughly disappointing...one thing I wish phones had (pretty sure they don't) is a circuit bypass or something much along the lines of a floating charge for my motorcycle. The charger tests the charge of the battery and if it is full then it stops delivering power to it.

That's exactly what they do have.

However, once there to full charge - they run off of the battery, not the charger. That's why when you pull a phone off the charger when it shows green (full charge) within a short time it can drop anywhere down to 92~96% (the limit point for charging to kick back on).

People keep trying battery tricks to fix that - it's not broken, and it's the same as laptops.

All comes down to modern safety circuitry in the charging system - a screw-up there causes these batteries to literally catch fire.

And by the way - there's zero ripple in a battery output, unlike what comes from the wall. So, I'm more than ok with designs that don't run directly off the wall, bypassing the battery. Running at full power from the charger through the battery would be trickle-charging - guaranteed to start a fire.

That I did not know. I've read so many threads on batteries that it's been ingrained into me to bump charge my phones lol. I won't proclaim to be an electrical engineer as I am not one.

~update~
Bluetooth 3.0 w/expanded library is done and been approved to be announced at Sprints launch event.
EVO3D full hdmi out capabilities with bluetooth keyboard allows you to surf the web on your hdtv. EVO3D on it's kickstand with bluetooth keyboard will allow you to surf the web as well. Though this is a full size bluetooth keyboard. MX5500 Revolution tested to show the least recognition issues and provided the most functionality, with out the need for programing keys. (Best plug and play so far)
Popular game peripherals have been included in the library as well.

Web sites reference EVO3D with MHL 1.0. Web sites stating this is false. EVO3D will launch with MHL 2.0. EVO3D will stream 3D content to HDTV and support 8ch dolby surround sound.

Lastly, been playing dungeon defender on the Unreal Engine on EVO3D. I think there might be a bug of some sort. I can turn on 3D on EVO3D and on a HDTV it does stereoscopic on it's own. Even if you own a HDTV looks like the built in SCI Filter in EVO3D will render it in 3D. End result, you just need 3D glasses and not a 3D TV. If a 3DTV is not detected then the SCI filter output video in stereoscopic mode to your HDTV and you use 3D glasses instead. I don't know much about the SCI filter and this has turned out to be a game changer. I'll update you guys soon. I hope we can include this before launch. This looks like a winner for EVOtees!

Talking smack! Today we beat every GLbenchmark ever tested by a stock device. No OC for EVO3D we achieved close 3k score with out OC. I can get more more by pushing FSB memory and Adreno GPU. EVO3D will be top dog. No OC, Just top Dog!

And which glasses would those be?

We would like to say we beat Glacier. Except EVO3D with it's advanced qHD slowed it things down a bit. All things considered. EVO3D is top dog for good time to come in the near future. EVO3d well launched with out a bootloader lock. Means you will push EVO3D to 1.5ghz safely. I am a little pissed because all the bickering resulted in EVO3D being published as wish list. Those in in know understand this is going to happen April,12. This makes things difficult. I am trying to promote to Google,HTC,Sprint. EVO3D Hollywood Pack is essential. I got you clowns calling BS and how I am full crap and liar. Impacted the local thread but the world media as well. EVO3D Hollywood pack is a joke now. I had the pressure to push the companies in the right direction. Apple is now wanting to stream ESPN and there going to get it. HTC EVO3D has a last ditch effort ESPN3D. It's time, make EVO3D #1 lets get this thang on the tracks!

while I would like to recommend red/cyan or green/magenta. I think it is best not to recommend cellophane red/blue.
I think it best to go with the ones that work for you. Plug or not Plug!
EVO3D on a big screen I choose to plug in.

Those who are wondering. 2D is not impacted in the least. 2D will see a improvement on picture quality. I cant comment because EVO3D should have 10mp content if Sprint wants it at launch.

@bluescreen

You've got an Evo 3D? I won't ask how, but what do you think of the 3D images and videos? Are the videos solid, or do they wobble about a bit like they do on the Desire?

What is the viewing angle like and when you're just using the phone for all the other features, does the 3D screen affect the experience at all? can you tell it's different from a "normal" phone screen?

Many thanks!

there is no difference. You can enable 3D on EVO3D then it changes everything.

all depends on the sci.filter for android. the one thing I noticed is the ability is to group voice calls.
