Has anyone compared the ECO camera app's ability to do macro shots to the Dinc's? I came from an Omnia and I must say the Dinc camera fails in the macro department. If the EVO has good macro ability then I would load it. Any input of comparison is appreciated.

I think its the same. The camera in the D-INC can only focus so closely, different software cant help wih that. With that being said if you zoom in all the way it wll focus pretty closely... Not true macro (1/1 image size on the sensor) but still decent...

Hmm, I'm trying to install this, but I'm not having any luck. I'm able to move the old camera.apk to a disabled folder, but when I copy the evo camera to /system/app and then reboot, the old camera still shows up. I also tried this method to no avail:

I had to remove the HTCCamera.apk and the HTCCamera.odex and place them into the disabled folder. Reboot. Then the Evo camera finally worked.

ahh, I see, I never bothered to move the .odex file. I'll try that, thanks!
