So, with this phone announced on Virgin Mobile featuring ICS out of the box (with WiMax/sense 3.6), would a simple port work for our OG EVO 4g's?

or perhaps a port of the Evo Design 4G for Boost Mobile

Most likely. It's just the rebranded EVO 3d. As soon as the developers get a hold of either of them we should have a mostly working sense port.
