All cards I put in say that it's unavailable. I know the cards work because they are fine with the card reader. The phone is unrooted.

Curious to know what it is. Mine doesnt read my 32 Sandisk card for some reason...

has anyone found a fix for the evo not reading sd cards?? y cant find a fix ... i heard something about an sdk toold ... but i cant manage go get into it ... if someone has a fix please let me know
See this about the sd card fix. It requires some adb knowledge and the tools for it which I can link if you need it.
Edit: not sure if you need to be rooted to use adb..

this should be fine for an unrooted phone. only the usb fix is root access required.
edit: this is a great guide to adb: http://androidforums.com/faqs/443072-adb-guide-updated-12-05-2011-a.html. you will also need the fastboot file as well: fastboot.exe
