Accessories evo 4G + jawbone + talk to text = question

When the soft keyboard comes up there is a picture of a microphone under the letter "Z"

Pressing it allows you to translate talk to text. (what is this feature or program called btw?)

Anyways, does the jawbone icon work with that feature. You know so that it uses the jawbone mic instead of my evo 4g mic (which sucks). I heard the jawbone icon has noise cancellation (background noise is a problem when driving).

Anyways just wanted to know if I purchase the jawbone icon, does it works with that talk to text feature?

I have the Jawbone ICON Thinker and it works. You can either press the "Voice Search" button on the keyboard as you described or (even easier) install a shortcut to the app on your home page. Once the app opens, say "Text so-and-so I hate your guts" and it will send that person a text "I hate your guts".

I tried sending a text with the Bluetooth Voice Dialer but it doesn't work. It dials ok but won't text.

Or you can set up Vlingo to be the default app that comes up when you press the headset button and you can text or call or navigate from it but you need to also press the "tap & speak" button the screen so it takes multiple actions.
