Root EVO 4G Not Charging

Hello, I have a problem that's pretty hard to understand for me. My phone isn't charging through my USB. it's probably not that battery because I can charge my battery through other phones but mine.
I don't know if it could be a problem with the charging port, because I haven't been doing any thing to my phone that might hurt it. But I found out that I can still make it vibrate by holding volume up & down then holding the power button. I don't actually know what that does but I don't think it can help me.
I is probably not a hard Brick Because my phone can still work with a fully charged battery. Please I need someone to help me with this weird problem I'm having.

Have you tried different cords?
So the only way to charge your battery is thru different phones?
Does the charge light come on when you plug it in?
