Help evo 4g screen replacement

im new here and sorry for the trouble but wanted to know if someone can help me out. i just replaced the screen on my evo 4g htc. it turns on and it makes the alert sounds and i can recieve calls and all but the screen is white. i checked all the connections and they are tight and put in the right way when i put the phone back together. Nothing is loose nore out of place. I dont get why the screen is white only. does someone know the answer, please help.
