Accessories EVO Accessories Guide

This looks to be the correct, if it is made for the EVO, it will more than likely be an exact fit, and won't fit any cases. Maybe a full body film, but more than likely not a hard case. This is just from my experience w/ other phones.

The link I posted above has some nice combos of just the suction cup phone mount, mount + a beanbag, phone holder + a vent mount, etc. They are cheaper priced ones, but w/ no warranty or a very limited return policy. This one drew my attention because of the lifetime warranty they boast. I've never seen any mid priced (or really any to be honest) car mount w/ a lifetime warranty.

Car Bean Bag Dash & Windshield Holder for the HTC EVO 4G - Gomadic Brand

I am not an employee for this company and have nothing to gain by suggesting their products lol. I don't even have one yet, but it will be my next accessory purchase around the corner after I get my EVO. I'm hoping to find out if it can be turned landscape mode, if not, it's not a dealbreaker.

Pretty sure I added it to the front page already.

The Seidio case looks sweet and all, but I am hesitant to buy anything before I see what Best Buy and Sprint have to offer on release day. My appt is at 7am, so I should be able to get the pick of the liter.

Be careful with Amzer products, I've read some reviews on cases they released for other phones, and the reviews are subpar at best.

torn over Blueant Q1 & Jawbone Icon!

There's a bluetooth discussion thread that you can probably read through and chime in to see what other people say.

At one point in the past, I was conflicted between Blueant and Jawbone, as they were both getting rave reviews (by consumers and "experts"). Ultimately, I went with the Jawbone (Jawbone II to be exact), simply because the only time I use my bluetooth is when I'm in my car and I needed to go with the bluetooth that had the best noise reduction (especially because I roll with the windows partially down, majority of the time; unless it's raining).

I'm actually considering upgrading to the Jawbone icon, but not sure yet. I've also been considering moving over to a stereo bluetooth headset for the times that I want to listen to music on my phone.

After reading around for a while I went ahead and ordered the blueant, we'll see how it works out!

I've been checking Otterbox daily...it's probably not going to happen for a while though...I can't find any case that seems worthy to hold me over until the Otterbox is released(I have a fairly physical job, I need a rugged case).

I made a quick stop by the Sprint Corporate store before I went to work this morning to buy a universal car mount for my Evo. But anyway, the associate got to talking about the Evo and I showed him mine. I asked him if he had any cases in and he was like "yeah, I'll contact my manager" to see if I can sell you one. So I was like cool. But as we waited for the manager to call back, this other associate comes by and says "Oh yeah, we can't sell him a case. They haven't even inventoried yet and they don't go on sell till the 4th." I was like what the %^$%. I was that close to getting me a nice case for my Evo.

I get off work in less than a hour. So I plan to stop back through there and attempt to get a case. Hopefully the crew that was working this morning is gone.

Oh and by the way the universal car mount is wonderful. I will post pics of it when I get home.

Here is some pics of the car mount I bought from the Sprint store for my Evo.

That's just a universal, right? I'm planning on buying the one specific to the EVO (which I think will probably be the same as the HD2 one), that has the built in charging connector.

Hey there team! Anyone know of any cases that would be good to use at the gym? More specifically, one that would strap on to my arm. I poked around eBay but can't seem to find one. I even checked for one for the HD2 but no dice. Hopefully someone can point me the the right direction.

Anybody know of the largest, most awkward, most powerful extended battery they have on the market today for the EVO? I'm talking like at least 2800mAh w/ an extended door.

I agree SoFlo.. That would be a pain to take off and put back on every time. I'll probably go that route as well.
