I like mine. They don't cover the WHOLE front, just the screen but it's still good for the protection so I don't mind.
 
Really? That seems quite odd. I think I'd def rather have the whole front covered so in conjunction with the silicone the entire device is basically protected.
 
Well I tried the Verizon silicone case. In a word, it was TERRIBLE. Thick, loose fitting, and slippery. I promptly returned it and the guy suggested the Body Glove case. Amazingly it's thinner than the silicone case, fits perfectly and is wonderfully grippy. It's the first case I've ever had that I have no complaints about. Seriously, it's pretty much perfect.

The only thing that concerns me is that when the official EVO car dock is released, it won't work with it :(

How is the Ghost Armor as far as grip?
 
For those that really like having OEM stuff, I bought a HD2 car charger on the Expansys USA site and it works perfect with the EVO.

I'm definitely returning the car charger I bought from Best Buy. Haven't even opened it. On this car charger, there's just a cigarete lighter adaptor, so you can use the bungee chord USB as a regular USB chord as well, which can come in handy when you're in a pinch.
 
btw is anyone else getting the damned light leak on the bottom of the screen? im on the phone with atnt but its been 2= hrs and im still on hold?
 
Of all the things mentioned throughout this forum, the only thing that has hit me has been the battery less than ideal issue. No screen popping up, no leakage, no lag, no multitouch problem. Knock on wood.
(now watch tomorrow I get all of them at once) lol

No leakage even? Wow, I have 4 Evos on my account and every single one has light leakage at the bottom of the screen.
 
It fits perfectly on the phone and around all of the necessary cut out. It's perfectly molded to the EVO. It has slightly raised portions over the volume and power buttons. I can't really describe what it looks like, but you can see in the picture below. I don't like how it sticks out on the corners or the pebbled texture. YMMV. It doesn't look anything like it did in the pics they had on their website when I ordered it (feels like about a million years ago).

So these cases that make the camera lens recessed... Do they make the whole phone so huge that the camera is now recessed, or do they just have a big ring around the camera?
 
Got the Evo. Camera is screwed up and goes to some psychedelic effect, and when that don't happen, it flashes and then goes back to theme screen when I press the camera icon. Wow, alot of money wasted and not to mention time. I'm so sick of these damn companies fleece'n consumers with junk they just want to make a quick buck on. I remember back when you would get "flogged" for this kinda shenanigan, not to mention the embarrassment from the public eye. Took it to the store and they tried to give me a refurbished phone.......uh I don't think so. I originally didn't buy a refurbished phone so why would I settle for second hand after the first one messes up. The folks at my local sprint store finally saw my point, and said they are ordering me a brand new one. Don't let anyone ever pull the wool over your eyes ! You gotta play hardball with these kinda folks or they will hustle you to death. WAKE UP AMERICA ! Lets bring back the superior quality that built this country before it gets worse. Demand that products be made in the U.S.A. by U.S.A. citizens, and simply just stop buying junk from across the world. And people wonder why the U.S. economy is so screwed..........they sent all the jobs over seas, and now we all are taking in the rear end for letting this all happen. I'm just as guilty as the next person tho. If you don't see the relevance to my point then your ******ed. Take care everyone and remember you have the power.....if you choose to have it.

Excellent post. I agree with you 100%. My Evo did the exact same thing, by the way. I just rooted it and flashed a custom ROM and it fixed the issue.
 
FYI, the car charger-to-usb converter I purchased from monoprice isn't working for me. When I plug the phone into the charger the orange light comes on for 2 seconds then turns off. The phone seems to be recognizing that it's plugged into a charging source but it won't charge. The cost was so minimal that I don't really care but hopefully some of you have better luck. The usb cable from monoprice works fine (I tried it on a pc and using a home power outlet converter).
