EVO availability for sprint employees and advantage club

Mine is in as well. I assume that putting it in is moot really; my sponsor still has to approve it, so hopefully he is up... LOL. Couldn't wait though.

Didn't do any accessories yet. Will research those later.

My sponsor just ordered my Evo, and he got himself an Epic! The employees themselves don't even have to send in a rebate, they just get the $149 Evo and $199 Epic straight up.

I plan to visit the on-campus store early tomorrow morning. I purchased my last two phones at this store without my employee sponsor being present and (obviously) didn't encounter issues either time.

My wife just ordered her new Epic online moments ago. I'll be interested to compare the two phones, Epic and EVO, to see how they compare.

Sorry folks, bad news. expect another month or two before you can get your Evo/Epic. They are out of stock and expect to be very low until about 2011. Might want to check into the upcoming HTC Knight 4G as it will probably be available to us before the EVO.

you gotta be ****ing kidding me. is this true? my employee sponser was going to put the order in for me tomorrow morning. are they really sold out already?

Yes, I drove 30 miles to my work place for nothing, I am pissed too. It was sold out within 45 seconds. The buy button just went to "Sold out" Everyone in my office just started yelling.. It was not cool. I needed to order some for folks I sponsor too. I am already searching on craigslist right now for an EVO.

how do you know that they wont have enough until 2011? and what about the epic is that still available?

Weird, I got mine ordered 10 minutes after it opened.

What I meant by 2011 is this. Sprint usually receives about 5000 EVOs a week, so that will be another 45 seconds before sold out again. They do not update us on stock, it is just a matter of being at work at the time the buy now button is available. Epic stock will be better than the EVO, Epic was sold out after about 3 minutes.

What?

I've been following these posts for over a month. I saw the ordering delay on the SWAC site but assumed this meant a week or so instead of a few days to deliver. I went ahead and put in my purchase request on the SWAC site.

I don't understand why they would; after all this time; they would release the evo to emp/swac people with only a few thousand available for the whole country. This seems to be both extremely negligent and naive. What possible reason would they have for opening the market on these phones at this point with such a limited stock. Thoughts?

Side Note since Im finally posting: If I was eligible for my swac upgrade in July and have waited this long; 1) shouldn't i get an increased discount like standard Sprint accounts when upgrading after 18 months instead of 12 months or; 2) will i be eligible for my next upgrade in July again or will it only be available to me a year after I finally get this upgrade.

I was getting the runarround with getting my last phone replaced for the 4th time (TP2) so I emailed dan@sprint.com to see if they could help me get the issue resolved. For my troubles I was offered a 50% discount off the after rebate price of my next upgrade (Picked the EVO). The employee that is applying the discount to my account emailed me this morning @ 7:07am:

"I will get your HTC EVO 4G ordered this morning. The additional $50.00 off only applies to EWD customers with a $0.00 rate plan. The equipment will be billed to your account and I will apply the 50% credit to the after rebate price as we had discussed previously. You will need to send in a rebate form for the $100.00 mail in rebate. I will send another email shortly confirming the order and to provide you with the amount of credit applied and the order number.

Thanks,

Fingers Crossed, but if I get an email stating that my order is on hold or could not be placed I will make sure to let you all know! :D

I also noticed that as of 7am they are still available on the Sprint website...
Maybe they are not out of stock afterall?

Well.....
IT IS OFFICIAL MY ORDER HAS BEEN PLACED!!!!

"I've got you all taken care of. Your account will be billed for $213.74 ($199.99 plus tax). You will then get an additional $100.00 off in the form of a mail in rebate, making the total you will end up paying for the HTC EVO 4G roughly $100.00, not bad.

Your order number is XX##-X-########. I have ordered the device with next day shipping at no charge. You can check the status of your order on www.sprint.com/myorder. You will need to visit www.sprint.com/aclubrebates to print off the Sprint Wireless Advantage Club rebate form.

I'm glad you're so excited, I'm also a little giddy having just ordered the Samsung Epic 4G for myself ;). Please let me know if you have any other questions or need anything else at all. Otherwise have a great day!

I registered just so I could post in this thread...I've been lurking around this specific thread for a couple months or so now and finally decided to register and post. Hello all.

So my wife just ordered me an Evo through iConnect about 20 minutes ago and it seems like everything went well. Hopefully I won't be waiting that long, it does say this:
"Due to overwhelming demand for new devices, review and processing of your order may exceed our standard processing times. Please be assured we are processing your order as quickly as possible. If you have not received communications regarding your order status after 3 business days, please check your order status online by going to Account Management Self-Service Tools on the Advantage Club tab. If the site is not currently available, please try again later."

I guess in 3 days I'll at least know something.

I just arrived at work after visiting the Sprint store at Town Center Plaza. The store was already crowded at 8:00 a.m. (it opened two hours early at 7:00 a.m.) but I was assisted immediately and now (finally!) own an EVO 4G.

If you live in Kansas City and can drive to either the aforementioned location or the store on the Sprint campus, then it may be worth your trip. Both store seemed to have a fair number of Epics and EVOs in stock. By the end of today, however, I'd bet most will have sold.

My sponsor ordered mine as soon as they were available last night, and yes they were available a little early. I have 3 EVOs on the way!! Finally!:D

WTF???
"We're Sorry, Advantage Club is Currently Unavailable
Due to overwhelming demand for new devices the Advantage Club site is experiencing some technical difficulties. Please try again later."
