My EVO speaker started sounding like crap all of a sudden, great.
Unrooting my phone just to deal with terrible customer service and probably have a sprint tech tell me I did physical damage to the phone causing it, is completely out of the question.
I've looked online and replacing it doesn't seem too difficult. My question, is there any better quality replacement speakers? This is(another) very common problem on the EVO, and I don't really want their bottom of the barrel cheapest possible speaker that only lasts 3 months on average. Could I maybe pull one out of an old phone that actually has parts made to last? I'm guessing no, but it doesn't hurt to ask... Maybe I can get a better quality chinese knockoff from ebay.
....
Seriously, HTC makes garbage phones. This is my last HTC phone, and definitely last contract with Sprint.
....
Alternatively stay tuned if you're interested in an EVO with a crappy speaker for the price of my cancellation fee.
