Root Evo - Cyanogen 7.1 need to update myself

Hello, I have been using a rooted evo (sprint) with Cyanogen 7.1 for quite some time.
I havent followed the forums for a couple of years.
Everything i needed worked just fine.

Over the past few months the device is acting flaky. lots of required reboots, poor connectivity....

I am debating on trying another ROM that is more current / streamlined; need bluetooth functionality
or jump ship to the new samgsung galaxy s4

Does anyone have any suggestions for this dated newb

I look toward the responses...

both are really good solid roms.
