Help EVO- EXCHANGE E-MAIL PROBLEM cant clear data

After the gingerbread update i can not clear the data from my exchange work E-mail, i have had to do this every so often since i got the phone, because i will get low storage warnings if i don't, mail app is sitting at 125 MB now, i went in and deleted the mail box from the settings in mail but when i go to >settings > applications > manage applications > mail i do not have the option to clear data, and even after i deleted it IN mail it still shows 125 MB, what gives? i did do a reboot after i deleted the account in the mail app, but still nothing.
thx in advance, and sorry if its been posted before, i did a search didn't find it
 
I'm trying to avoid a reset but it's getting harder and harder. This is the only thing hogging my internal memory.
