Root EVO noob

hello everyone. i just got an evo yesterday so i will be hangin out here for awhile. ive been on the forums here for a minute now( admire, wildfire s, and so on) so im not a complete noob just a noob to the evo. i spent several hours reading and messin around last nite and im having a bit of a problem. the evo i got is for sprint, but i would like to use it on metro pos. *228 works but the people at metro are sayin i cant activate my phone due to flashed phones are no longer supported.:mad: i got the prl updated, an msl, qpst'd, and rooted with a metro rom. am i missing something? ive read i need cdma workshop. if anyone could PM me a link as to where i could find it i would be grateful.;) also any other help is welcome.

ok i'm not too familiar with flashing to another network but here are somethings you will need.

1. you will need a donor phone from metro
2. you will need cdma workshop......be careful as i hear that most of the carcked versions have viruses.
3. not sure on how to flash it, but this boost guide goes thru the steps with cdma. you can [probably follow it and just apply it metro. here is the guide:http://androidforums.com/evo-4g-all-things-root/460035-evo-4g-boost-mobile-guide-evo-3d.html

hope that helps......i wish i know more about flashing......hmmmmmm maybe i should give this a try with my unactivated og evo.........hmmmmm
 
So, i couldn't find cdma workshop for free so i went to a site called unlocktotalk downloaded their flash tool and flashed the phone. it worked for talk, text and zeroing my spc but metro says no more esn's will be put in their systems. oh well i had a donor, read for another day, and the rest is history. I'm now able to enjoy this phone.
