Evo not switching into landscape mode when turned onto side

So when today the phone would switch into landscape mode when i would text, but now it no longer does. what is the deal!

Check the settings under keyboard. If that isnt the problem, do a battery pull.

Make sure u r turning it to the left, since Android only allows it to do landscape when the speaker is to the left.

I don't have my EVO yet, but I went to the Sprint store to look at it this morning and they had two on display. One worked fine and one did what you described. Hope it is not an "issue."

i had this issue earlier today, i calibrated it, and it still didn't work
so i rebooted and its all good now

That's so funny! I got freaked out by the same "problem" - but it's true: EVO's screen only tilts if turned counter-clockwise (speaker on the left)..... Not a problem now that I know...
