Why?? It's a Windows Evo.
If HTC HD2 had stable android it would be a much better choice than the Evo for me for a few reasons:
- Thinner
- Lighter
And the biggest reason of all...
- T-mobile (great coverage for me in SoCal and alot cheaper than $80/mo on sprint for the Evo)

I would like to address Earlymon's responses to each of my responses
This forum thread has yet again turned into Carmen Vs Evo owners pt. 3 and this time I really didn't say anything negative about the Evo or Sprint(nothing major) and didn't speak that biased over the X but ehh what can i do....

You really don't add to discussions and include a bunch of snide comments instead. You try to play victim, but instead need to look in the mirror, as to why you illicit such responses. Of course you really don't care about phones, you just spend an hour writing a 5,000 word response about them. Sadly you have a bunch of followers(who I assume are adults) who lap up what you say and think it's cool to flirt with a 17 year old girl. At this point I really wish people would responding to you, because it's beyond annoying. I probably have to go the Droid X section to even find an accurate view of the phone.

The verbosity of some of the replies is giving me a headache. 
Anyway...
Had an Evo which got returned due to build quality. Now have the DX.
IMHO....
Evo:
- better UI/eye candy
- better camera, particularly lack of shutter lag
- better browser, specifically reformatting of pages without having to pinch then tap (makes it easier to browse one handed while zooming).
- better keyboard
DX:
- better build quality
- smoother scrolling, particularly noticeable in app drawer
- 6.8gb of internal memory for apps/data vs 350mb (probably only significant if someone plans on downloading all of the 70k apps in the market)
- better camcorder, particularly audio on the videos
- no 30fps cap, probably not that significant to me since I don't play games on my phone but might have something to do with the smoother scrolling?
For me, both verizon and sprint have decent coverage so that's a non-issue. My town supposedly has complete 4G coverage but it was spotty at best and even with 4G on, the phone spent most of the time on 3G. The price difference is immaterial in the overall scheme of things.
I couldn't tell any real difference between the screens. All the talk about 16-bit screen etc etc..I would be hard pressed to say which was which even if they were side by side.
Spec-wise, I think the DX is "better" and obviously does do better in benchmark tests but I think both of these phones are so high-tech that for normal everyday use, they perform fairly comparably.
I do think there are definite differences in the implementation of features. It's just a matter of which of these features are most important to a particular user.
For me, the shutter lag on the camera (I enjoy snapping pics of my 5 yr old on my phone and even a slight lag could mean the difference between getting the shot or just getting a blur) and the browser are big ones. If the Evo only had better build quality, it would be a no-brainer but such isn't the case based on my personal experience with the phone.

I gotta agree with Carmen. I have a Nexus One and I frequent the N1, Evo, DroidX forums. I like the members here alot and they make my day better by giving me a good laugh
