I can't vouch for the senseless version, but it def. is in the Sense version.

Did you install any mods, like, themes, etc?

If so, that may be the cause. Anything that replaces framework-res.apk, also replaces the apn list, which tells the mms app which server its supposed to be using to send messages. What I did was decompile the framework-res.apk, replaced the Sprint apn xml file with a verizon one,l and then verified it worked.

If you are installing B2 as an upgraded over B1 without wiping data, that too could be the reason.
 
Check the first post for a workaround.

I did patch it, but why it isn't working for you is a bit beyond me. Might want to talk to the author of the senseless version.
 
not working for me either. senseless version. I turn off all gps services, reboot, and shes fine. Turn it on again and the same error.


edit: I'm not seeing any negative effect though.

Hey guys as far as the mms goes, i haven't changed anything from the sense version. make sure you do a wipe before you install. I also didn't touch the framework at all. for those getting the fc issue when do you get it, what app are you using etc.
 
So I've been running the FrankenRom B2 Sense version for a while now. I think the only issue I have run into now is when I receive a call and try to answer it via the swype down method and twice now it freezes on me and I miss the call. I dont know if this is a FrankenRom issue or not.

Hydra Kernel Senseless Frankenrom b2 no GPS troubles No ADB troubles (haven't tried yet though did try GPS and was frighteningly accurate). No rebooting issues (knock on wood). They kernel I am using is the first overclock Hydra kernel. Best I can tell great battery saver. Though flashing roms uses lots of battery so tomorrow hopefully I can go a whole day without flashing a rom. Though I will make an acception if someone points me to a Kernel that will give me N broadcasting back. I had it at one time but switched to get rid of adhoc now I don't have it again. Perhaps it was removed from the Tether app? if so I suppose there was a problem with it.


Oh and to those having the com.htc.bgp issue I reinstalled after a wipe and it never came back. It was some app that I had from I think wave 2 that isn't in this one or more PB&J I am not sure. Either way some HTC app or background or something is causing it.


Love what I have. I will have to figure out how to change the system fonts at some point. I liked the original ones better. Though I like these for somethings.


Anyword on these basically being the same thing but using the official Kernel. I guess I don't need that since I am using Hydra though.


Any goodness that can be added to this after unrevoked forever?

So my radio (Baseband) is v 2.05.00.06.11 and I want to upgrade to the latest, I should:

1) Run Unrevoked Forever
2) Run Titanium
3) Load radio as "update.zip" and put on SD card
4) Boot into recovery
5) Make nandroid
6) Apply update
7) Reboot

Right?

What's the benefit of the newer radio vs. the v2.05 one ?

I am getting FCs with Handcent. No themes running. Can't receive MMS, either. I get a "Download" button to retrieve the MMS file but it never downloads.

Anytime I send SMS or MMS, I get an FC.

Should I run the APN fix?
 
Michael I downloaded the keyboard patch twice and it aborted both times. I'll try again tomorrow from my computer but can't seem to flash it. I could flash a recovery from tonight so it's not my SD this time.

No.

Like this:

1) Make a nandroid.
2) Run Unrevoked Forever
3) Download radio as named and put onto SD card.
4) Boot into HBOOT.
5) Say yes to update.
6) Reboot when prompted.
7) Profit.

As for Handcent, try the APN fix. I don't know enough to know what would cause Handcent to go wonky like that.

I got the MMS to work (I can receive) but I still can't send SMS without Handcent FC'ing, although it looks like it does send, just FCs every time I try to send anything. Odd.

Will flash the radio tonight.
