My daughters Evo is rebooting many times a day. Im thinking she should just try to reset her Evo to factory settings. The first question I have is, can she use her Mac to restore her contacts on gmail? 2. Is there a step by step guide to do this? 3. Where do i find the reset option?
I know ive seen it before but i cant find it now. Is there maybe another soultion to this problem besides resetting?? Thank you so much for your input and help. :)

The first question I have is, can she use her Mac to restore her contacts on gmail? 2. Is there a step by step guide to do this?

In the Mac Address Book, select all, export to a .vcf file.

Log on to Gmail via the web, go to contacts, select import - that will give a file-browsing dialog - choose that .vcf file and you're good to go. This even preserves your Address Book groups.

Then - in Gmail/Contacts - use the option to look for and auto-delete duplicates.

If you're running a later version of OS X, under Address Book Preferences, there's an option to sync the address book with Google.

Suggest if you want to sync, do the vcf import/export first, it'll save a lot of time to just sync things by hand for the first go-around.

Thank you so much for all the info.and help. Wow, really this is just what I needed. You are always so helpful and great. You are one of the top reasons I love this forum.
Thanks again,
Lesa :)
