What ROM and which version of WT are you using?Wireless tether says it requires a netfilter enabled kernel. I'm using netarchy 3.7.5, how do I find out whether or not this is?
When I run the app it says unable to tether, I'm just guessing that its a problem with the kernel.
Baked snack came with WT205pre8 and I had FC issues. I backed it down to pre7 and everything is fine. Point being, if you run into another glitch, trying out versions can help.I was on stock rooted 2.1 with what ever version of WT is on the market, but I just finished flashing the 2.2 rom, once I flash the netarchy kernel for 2.2 I'm going to try again with WT.
I discovered through the WT FAQ that it wasn't a problem with the kernel, it would have given me a different error message, not the "unable to tether" message it was giving me. Hoping the 2.2 rom will make it work
Edit: Using WT with 2.2 rom works =)
WiMAX SMS Notifier - nice find, muchos gracias.
No longer a Root only app.
IMO must haves:
Wireless Tether - free (but I donated) - Bye bye Sprint Hot Spot and the $30/month.
ROM Manager Premium - $5 - Download, backup, wipe, flash, and reboot in one click. Swap recoveries without having to boot into recovery, or reboot period.
Titanium Backup Premium - $4 - I've been hearing about recent problems, but dev is very responsive with fixes and updates; he'll straighten it out.
MyBackup Pro - $5 - Works differently than Titanium, and IMO they compliment each other perfectly.
Root Explorer - $4 - Works like ASTRO or EStrongs in the protected area, often saving you the hassle of ADB. Easily uninstall bloatware.
SetCPU - $2 - Great for setting up over/underclock profiles.
Quick Boot - free - One click reboot into recovery, fastboot, or back into Android.
Optional:
ShootMe - free - Shake your phone for a screen shot.
JuiceDefender - free (Ultimate $3) - Helps extend battery life.
CacheMate - Frees up RAM by clearing out your caches (not as important for Evo as it was for Hero).
Can you update this great list/recommendations for the current market?
