EVO running hot or warm

I am kind of shocked that no one mentioned it before but my EVO seems to be running warm sometimes and gets almost hot. Has anyone else experienced this with extended use or at any time? Thanks.

how the heck is motorola supposed to put a 2ghz processor in a phone?????

That makes sense,and I do agree that its a "hot" phone.

I want a 3ghz...doesn't mean it's feasible. The chips create a large amount of heat. It has to go somewhere. They can't get much bigger/faster without having to start implementing some type of cooling.

My phone has never gotten hot, or even warm with my typical use. Your phone getting hot could be an indication that an errant app is drawing too much data or processing...

Check your apps.

yeah i was having major problems with my evo getting hot... even when just sitting in my pocket doing nothing! i did a factory reset and it seems to have fixed whatever the problem was... the battery life also improved greatly!

Doesn't get any warmer than my BB Curve did, if anything, the BB Curve got way warmer.

My EVO generally warms up when ever I'm doing heavy web browsing or watching videos on it. Otherwise, it's fairly cool.

Mine gets hot everyday cause I use it so much. The kickstand gets almost too hot to the touch because of metallic coating. Also the phone will not charge when it gets this hot. The led will flash alternating green/Orange indicating the unit is overheating even though the charger plugged in.
And you thought yours was bad? Lol
To be fair I use the phone constantly throughout the day. I am talking constant streaming of the world cup, Wimbledon, and surfing the net. My phones idle time is pretty much zip.
If it gets too hot to charge I have to give it a 15 minute cool down period before it will charge again.

The only time mine warmed up was when I was signed onto fring and skype with very poor signal coverage.
