Accessories EVO Screen Protectors Thread

Don't know why more people haven't mentioned Skinomi. Here's my review:

I originally purchased the screen guard for my Palm Pre for less than $10. The lifetime replacements and positive reviews were too good to pass up. It protected my screen for the duration of my ownership of the Pre until just before I sold it. Probably through my own fault, I got a small scuff on it, but I figured, what the hey, I'll give the replacement policy a whirl. When I told them that I had just sold my Pre and bought an Evo, they were nice enough to send me a new screen for the Evo free of charge. No more lifetime protection, which is just as well considering that they didn't even have to give me one at all. The Evo guard has faithfully taken care of my screen, which I keep in my pocket all day with not a scuff to speak of until I put my graphing calculator in the same pocket today. This is why I'm here today.

I gave it 5 stars for a number of reasons, not the least of which was their above and beyond excellent customer service. They were friendly, helpful, and even waived the shipping and return of the old screen. Couldn't ask for much more. The feel of the screen is relatively smooth; no discoloration has occurred, and of course my screen itself is in pristine shape. I just buffed out the calculator scratches leaving only a few corner bubbles which I will try to remove through reapplication, and you can hardly even see the effects of my bonehead mistake.

Installation is a snap; it starts looking good after a few hours and was perfectly clear the morning after. As long as you follow the instructions (no dust, turn phone off and remove the battery, apply solution, squeegee out and let dry), you will be due-fully impressed with the performance/cost ratio. The lifetime replacement is really just a bonus as it is not necessary unless you mess up. Besides customer service and performance, the 5 stars were also given to help offset the low scores of people who apparently can't follow instructions. You will not be disappointed with this purchase.

If you're going to put out the dough for a good protector $10 for a lifetime guarantee isn't much to worry about.

I started with a full body Skinomi. Two of the edge pieces came off within a couple weeks. The main screen cover became scratched in several spots within a month or so. I called for a replace and the whole kit was sent out in a timely manner. I never bothered to put it back on as I was not impressed at all.
I still have the original back shield on it and I've been using a barely there casemate with no screen protector for the last 6 months plus. No scratches and I carry the phone in my back pocket daily. The screen is remarkably resilient to scratches. It may not be gorilla glass, but it's something close.
I can't recommend Skinomi even though there support is very good...the product just plain scratches too easily and is not very smooth when sliding your finger across it (tacky).

Bareback is the way to go! :D

I have 2 question about screen protector.

1. Is there a need to have a screen protector if there is no stylus on this device.

2. Is there a screen protector that is fingerprint proof? (meaning no oily after smear).
