Evo Shift Keyboard

In addition to the slide-out QWERTY keyboard, will the Evo Shift also have an onscreen touch keyboard for when the physical keyboard is not out?
 
Not that it needs further confirmation, but I'm typing this reply from the Shifts on screen keyboard.

Hey guy. Can you download anything from the marketplace? I can open it up and search for stuff, but everything I try to download something it errors out.

Since I dont know anyone else with this phone, I didnt know if this was because the phone was released early at Radio Shack,,,

I have been able to DL from the market fine. The only problem I've had is trying to DL the HTC widgets (battery widget for example), it keeps saying it cant right now. Everything else is fine.

market can be flakey sometimes. you can try going in to settings/applications and delete data for the market app and see if that helps. you could also try a factory reset.
 
Hard reset took care of the marketplace problem. Any of you guys installed a different keyboard? I used to use Smart Keyboard on all of my other phones, but I cant seem to select it on this phone. Smart keyboard Trail is downloaded, the trial box is checked, yet the original keyboard still comes up onscreen. Any ideas?

Nevermind. I finally figured it out.
 
Haven't had any problems with downloading apps with mine. The first 2 updates when I first got the phone completed with an error but since then it's been completely fine.
 
I'm trying to figure out got to have the backlight for the keyboard to stay on when I use it to type..it won't stay on at all. Any suggestions

Having problems where the caps don't always work or the function key is active even though the light isn't on. I have heard of similar problems. Are any of you noticing this?
