Evo v Sprint vs Virgin branding.

I just picked up a evo v that's branded sprint.

My question is, do the virgin branded ones have ANY differences? I've heard that the virgin branded ones have a more pronounced power button than the poopy one on my sprint branded evo v.

I'd return mine to get a better power button....it's my BIGGEST gripe about the phone thus far.

Anybody have both?

I haven't paid all that close attention to all of the posts on here, but do Virgin branded ones even exist? All I've heard is people asking who has one, but I haven't seen anyone who says they do.

Dude they are the same Phone just a different glass and battery lid that's all every thing else is the same.

i highly doubt there would be upgrades in the VM branded one. these are old phones that sprint is trying to get rid off. also, as a prepaid company they wont waste time or money to fix most issues. look at the motorola triumph which is still buggy to this day

I know, their shouldn't be any 'upgrades' between the two....but is the power button more pronounced on the vm evo?

That's all I really want to know...is the power button slightly better on the vm?....if the glass is diff. between the 2, then why couldn't the power button be slightly diff.

I have 2 vevo's in my family. One has a more firm power button, the other is more squishy. Both work just fine, and both are sprint branded. I think you will probably find this to be the case with virgin phones too. Try the mod to firm it up.

Haven't seen the mod...can you point me towards it? Is it in the evo 3d section?

Thank you.

I think I'll pop the cover off and fill the botton with super glue to give it a little more height.

Be careful, it's very easy to go in the opposite direction and have a button that requires little effort besides brushing it to activate. Some are easy some are hard, simple tolerances that exist no matter what name is silk screened on the phone.

Okay, I deleted a handful of posts here. Let's keep things civil and remember to attack issues and not each other. :)

Let's also remember that people are going to post without searching. It isn't required here, and it won't ever be required. So do not be rude to people when this happens, answer their question nicely or don't say anything. ;)

To those of you being helpful, thank you and keep up the good work. :D

If you have any questions or issues, feel free to contact me through a PM.

Mine is a virgin mobile one. The battery case has a half butted VM sign on it. Not sure how to explain it, but it looks like they didn't take the time to properly put it on. Reminds me of the bootleg soccer shirts that you can buy in other countries with the logos put on in a very home made way.

There is one more difference that I've just noticed although it's still just a silk screening issue like the other two, on the Virgin branded phones the earpiece is silver when on Sprints it is blacked out.
