Evo vs Droid X

Is this true? Then why is the contract length 2 years and not one?

To keep you from switching after a year. Plus, in order to upgrade, you have to sign a new two year deal (which starts from the time you sign the new contract, not added to the end of your previous one).

Verizon is still more per month. I looked at their plans and there is a 70 dollar per month talk and text plan which does not include data, so that wouldbe around 100 dollars or more per month and i pay around 80 per month for the everything data on sprint which includes basically everything i need to never go over.

Only a noob would actually pay for text messaging instead of just using Google Voice for free...

Cheapest plan option for both phones:
Sprint Evo 4g = $80/mo
Verizon Droid X = $70/mo

Total Droid X savings as long as your not an idiot and use Google Voice = $240
