EVO Vs. Nexus S

The Nexus S is far from a step up in terms of hardware. It would be pointless to go from an EVO to a Nexus S in my opinion. To be honest I don't think it's that great of a phone to begin with. I'll just wait to see what Sprint gets next. There's no way I'm leaving my plan on Sprint to another carrier just because of a phone.

I agree, this wouldn't be an upgrade from my Evo. Spec wise it has an edge in several areas but definitely not something to make the jump to. Once again, Evo can still hold its own compared to the newer Androids out.

The only thing I like about the Samsung Nexus S is the use of the AMOLED screen. When I was trying to decide between the EVO and Epic the only real plus was the screen on the Epic. In the end the EVO just had way too many things that suited my needs. Even head to head with the Nexus S I would take the Evo. IMO HTC just makes a better product.

Yeah that review of the evo was slightly misguided imo. I've had mine a week and the battery life is just as good (or bad as it may be) as the moment it replaced. Battery life on my evo is about the same as my wife's epic and I doubt the S will be any better than an epic because it's basically the same.

The guy's review skills are questionable at best. Who really thinks the black notification bar is really going to make a noticeable difference in battery life besides him?
