Evo3d? Samsung within?

Seems like most that had the EVO 3D in here never had the intention of keeping the phone.

I absolutely am happy with the 3D. Cant believe someone would say that the 3D photos or videos are bad...thats crazy, any one I have shown the Go 3D Youtube video to on the 3D says its incredible.

I'd look at the Within, but I always prefer Sense and HTC.

I actually had in mind to try the 3d for 30 days then try the within for 30 and make my decision, but no way to do that easily now with the delayed release date and I'm attached to the 3d already but can't stop thinking about the within. If I dont like it enough I can take it back but I'm sold on the evo.

Dude! Wait for the Within! It's SO gonna be worth it! It's been called one of the best smartphones out there. Are you just gonna let that awesome phone go by like it's nothing? :p

Fiy, Sprint only allows for one exchange. If you exchange the evo 3d for the Within, you are stuck with the Within. This applies even for a return.

I didn't know that but it doesn't matter now, I'm keeping my evo, just going to have the within too. The evo proved itself over 30 days now the within will have a chance to do the same.

Hello Everyone,

I apologize in advance but I saw a thread on the Galaxy s2 forum and I thought this forums members would be the most informed people to ask. I currently have a HTC EVO 3D but it is defective. I was going to exchange it but I was considering a Galaxy S2 instead. I know HTC said it would unlock the bootloader in August so Root shouldn't be too difficult to obtain. I am unfamiliar with Samsung phones and their ability to obtain root plus how difficult is it to flash ROMS. I have heard some phones require a computer to be able to flash a ROM. I thought Samsung was such a device but can't remeber? I am not tied to a 3D phone but I was looking forward to the 3D being a world phone and having more support from the worldwide development community. Is there a link to a thread that would help answer any of my questions? Does Samsung have the support of the developer community like the HTC Evo has had?

Thank you VERY MUCH in advance,

Charles

Are you still within the 30 days? If not, you can't exchange a defective phone for a completely different model.

Yes I believe I am still within the 30 day window. I picked up the 3VO on 7/4 Tommy should i wait on the Within do you have any experience with Samsung as far as root support? I have an evo I can use until it drops.

Thanks,

Charles

I had the Epic, which as far as I can remember was rooted pretty easily. Also Cyanogen was sent a couple of GSII from Samsung to help develop so that should help getting CM. I would return the Evo 3D and tell them you want to go back to your original Evo so they can reset your eligibility. Then when the Within comes out you can better assess both devices and see which one you really want.

guys, i made a discovery... i'm using net10 until this phone gets released... and my wife has virgin mobile and i DO have signal @ home but she doesn't... so i think i won't have sprint signal :'(
i wonder and surely you will know, if i sign a contract with sprint and i don't have signal @ home, can i cancel it? i don't want to go to ATT :P

Two things.
First, with Sprint, you have 30 days to decide if you want to keep the phone and their service. I know it was this way about 6 months ago when I not only turned the phone in before the 30 day period, but canceled Sprint all together.
Second, check the Sprint website under their coverage tab. See what the signal is on your street. There are other non-Sprint websites that do an even better job of showing coverage of all the carriors, but I can't recall what they were.
