I had it running perfectly before I changed roms but forgot how I input the info!

I'm trying to get it to work with my university email so I dont have to log in and out everytime which takes ages.

The fields I have when going into manual setup are:

domain\username

password

server

say my email address is abc123@bham.ac.uk and the server is owa.bham.ac.uk (this is correct because it connects to server but says username and password failed) I just cant get my head around the first field, I done it before after messing around with it but now I tried every variation and it doesnt work

any help much appreciated thanks.

Username is your Exchange id - up here it's your initials followed by a couple of random characters. You should be able to get this from your email header.
Domain name should be on your IT web pages, we currently use two - Centre and Campus.
Hope this helps.

speak with the it team, they can tell you exactly what you need
it will be your exchange maibox id and password

domain\username

adf\abc123

password

server

owa.bham.ac.uk

well i finally managed to get it done after checking the IT services department. It doesn't have the settings for android but has it for iphone :rolleyes: everyone is a fan boy these days. Anyway the way the info is input is same, just check my quote above. Cheers for all the help.

I just tried what you said and it doesn't work for me
Here what i entered into the relevant field:

Email = abc123@bham.ac.uk
Server = owa.bham.ac.uk
Domain = abc123
Username = abc123
Password = My password

Pretty sure my user login is correct so what i am doing wrong?

You got it working? If not, the final piece of the puzzle may just be that your mailbox simply isn't enabled for ActiveSync :)

Btw, seriously, get your IT guys to put some customization on that OWA logon page...looks so tacky with the out of the box graphics :)

I had gone through the post. Exchange ActivSync enables us to modify several inbox synchronization settings. We may configure our inbox for more information about hte exchange. Pleawse produce some more attachment links about How to configure the Exchange ActiveSync Up -to- Date Notifications. Can we just right click on the users box?
