Help Exchange / Activesync profiles

Has anyone setup an Activesync account on the DInc2 that requires Data Encryption? That part seems to be failing and prohibiting me from setting up my work email.

It worked just great on my original DInc though. I wonder if this is not available in this updated version of Sense.

Yep. Just did it. Microsoft Exchange server and it worked perfect. Just make sure you use the correct server and domain, it didn't come up correctly on mine and I had to manually enter it.

SSL is not device encryption. I have been reading and confirmed that Android 2.2 as well as Sense 2.1 do not support device encryption. Apparently some Android devices (like my old DInc) "lied" to th Exchange server and basically ignored the encryption policy. The new DInc2 does not. Looks like I have to go back to using TouchDown for my work email. This is lame.

There is an app out there called MofiSafeFile Pro. It is encryption software. I am wondering if I can use that to encrypt the device and then setup my Exchange account. I may try this.
