Exchange ActiveSync

I've been trying to sync my HTC Desire with my companys exchangeserver for quite a while now but I don't get it to work.
I keep geting a warning that my mailbox is to large but that's not true. My mailbox only around 0,5 GB while there is 1.88 GB free space on my SD-Card.
Is my phone trying use the internal memory, or is there something else?

Hope for help:o

I think the problem is just that, the default mail app uses the phone's internal storage for it's cache.
Probably the only way around that is rooting your phone (I'm prepared to be corrected though)

Can't you limit the size by only downloading recent mails? I use ActiveSync, and it defaults to 7 days, although I've increased that to 14.
Also, you could set a small filesize limit so that it won't automatically dowload large attachments and images.

Can't I change the default storage to the SD-Card then, I hardly got any space at all on the internal memory:/

I don't know how to make those other changes, I think I have to crate the account first which can't be done...

I have mine set to only download 5k of each mail and never include attachments.

If you need more you can do it manually.

No, fairly sure you can only do this by rooting your phone which enables you to mount the SD card as part of the internal filesystem

You have a good point there. Maybe there's an option if you set up the account manually? I'd have a go myself, but it seems I can only have one ActiveSync account on the phone at a time.

This might be the best solution for me, but how is it done? Can anyone point me to some sort of guide?

If you set it to only download a small amount with no attachments it will use a lot less space.

Then if you really need the full email you can tap the 'Get Remaining' banner.

Also, you can then decide if you need the attachments and if you do it will give you the option to open or save to SD Card.

Hi, another Activesync question here. I'm trying and failing to sync my phone with my work emails, which use OWA. When I try and set up activesync, the items I am asked for are:

Server Address
Domain
Username
Password

I'm fine for username and password obviously, but I'm struggling to figure out which are my server address and domain. In OWA, in the options section, it lists the following (I've deleted any bits that actually mention my work etc, but if someone could help me link up the which bits go in which boxes, that would be great!
