Exchange Email Security Settings Update

I'm not sure why, but ever since I set up my exchange email account on my motorola droid, it constantly prompts me to "Update Security Settings" in the notification bar and makes an obnoxious beeping sound. I can't turn this off and following the notification does nothing. Anyway to fix this?

check the official moto website- it's a known issue "they are working on it with verizon and google" and at some mythical point we'll get an update.

toss it in the pile of crappy battery life, lags, lockups reboots, and 15 minute reboots and the last 2.2 update for the droid is a heaping pile of ....

such a bummer because all the other updates went well (at least for me)
