Help exchange help

so i work at shaw and we use exchange. Everything connects fine, me and another guy in my department are both using the nexus galaxy. We can receive emails fine but we can not send emails. I downloaded an email client called touchdown and it works perfectly fine do you guys have any idea what the problem might be

What version of Exchange are you guys running (server side)...

The state college I work for runs 2003 and the stock application works fine for me to send, receive, and mark as read.
