Help Exchange server issue

For the last 3-4 months I have issues with the exchange server app. When I try an access my email settings I get "unfortuantly email has stopped". Additionally I no longer get sound alerts for my exchange server email. Gmail works fine. I have cleared cache, data, hard reset, soft reset, and even got a new phone. I have spoken with Verizon, Samsung and Microsoft. They all were useless. Anyone have a fix?

If you have a backup app from, say, 6 months ago, you can turn off updates in Play Store, then install that older app, set it up and see if it works. Sometimes "improvements" "de-improve" an app.

If you don't have an older version, try clearing cache and data on the app.

Thanks for the tip, no idea how to do that. Plus its a stock Microsoft APP that comes with the phone, I understand I dont have to update it but I have no idea how to get it back to whatever update it was 6 months ago.
