Help Exchange Sync Update

Hi everyone,

I am a new SG2 owner and still trying to work-out a few things on the phone.

I am unable to get the SG2 to update the contacts once synced to MS Exchange. So if a new contact is added to Exchange, it does not get added to my phone. (I haven't tried the other way round yet!!!) This problem does not exist with google contacts though.

Do I need to download an app for this or is it a setting to be changed?

It should do it automatically assuming it is set to auto-sync. In Settings, Accounts and sync, have you got Background data and Auto-sync both enabled? Below you can see your accounts and if you select your Exchange account it will tell you when it last synced your Contacts.

Ya, everything was set as required to auto-sync. I managed to get it working after deleting the account and setting it up again.

I have the same issue- both ways. After the first synchronization which was successful, if I create a new contact in the phone, this is not synchronized to exchange and if I create a new one in exchange it does not synchronize to phone. Email works perfect with immediate update. Background data - Auto Sync - Sync Contacts inside Account are ON

Try restarting the phone and/or deleting/adding the account again. I have had no problems after doing this. Also sometimes the exchange policies are modified by the administrators and hence it is advisable to re-add the account on the phone. Hope this helps.
