Help Exchange: "This server requires security features that your Android device does not support"

I now get this message on my Xoom when I attempt to set up Exchange email. When I first bought the device, it worked fine. Since then I've wiped it and updated to the latest OTA.

I assume my Exchange administrator changed something perhaps?

My Android phone running 2.2 still works fine.

TouchDown works, but I hate its ugly UI and I shouldn't have to spend 20 bucks on an app that should be built in.

I've tried tweaking all of the security settings on the tablet (requiring PIN, etc.) but nothing seems to work.

And of course, IPhone and IPad are working fine....

do you have wifi or 3G model?

what version do you have? should be 3.0.1

are you rooted?

what exchange server version are you connecting to?

have you contacted your IT dept. if they made changes recently?

the xoom i use connects to EAS 2003 SP2. they have full control up to and including remote wipe. this is also for the evo i use...

3.0.1

Not rooted. It was rooted, but I unrooted and wiped it and updated to the latest ota but that didn't make a difference.

It is Exchange 2007. IT says they haven't changed anything but you never know with this particular group.

Very frustrating. I hope Google releases a fix soon.

TouchDown is showing thefollowing security policies:

The following policies have been requested :
- Password/PIN required
- Failed Attempts 8
- Min Length 4
- Timeout 900 sec.
- Password recovery

I've got the same problems with my Transformer, both in 3.0.1 as in 3.1. And within our company the same policies are requested as mentioned above.

the xoom i use is on 2003 SP2. IT has full access to the xoom and the evo i used to own and now the 3D. some exchange server versions have been reported to have issues whereas others have not. all one can do is post on the google forums and perhaps see if you can get more support from IT...

But the weird thing is, that colleagues of mine, with android devices as well, don't have any problems whatsoever. One friend and colleague for instance has a HTC Desire HD. And can retrieve everything :s.

Has to be a problem with either Honeycomb, or Asus' implementation of it.

This is really bugging me. Might even return the thing.

I'm having a similar issue with my Droid X. The one I originally bought back in September worked great until the charging port on it went bad. They've sent me three replacement phones (for multiple reasons other than corporate syncing), but I've noticed that with this updated ops I'm not able to get my corporate email to sync. It works fine on my original device, but when I turn on my "like-new" device, I get an error message that says "This device does not support this server version". I'm getting really frustrated. Can someone please tell me what I can do to make this thing sync with my corporate email. I don't understand what the other person did. I'm not an IT person and technology really doesn't like me.

Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks
