Excited, but......?

With all the survey questions floating out there on the forum (VZW or BB, one year or two year, $299 or $249, etc., etc.), I thought I would introduce yet another one. I know, you're welcome. :)

So, here's the deal. I am thrilled at long last that I am planning like many of you to greet the verizon staff as they arrive at their respective stores tomorrow and then equip myself with the mighty t-bolt and a boatload of accessories. But let's me honest...isn't there a little bitty part of you that is bothered that you've been on that big red email list for months and still haven't heard anything? (Anybody out there actually get this notification yet? Anybody? Bueller...Bueller?) Or that your local bb hasn't placed that call even though you were first on their preorder list. In short, anyone out there even now still burdened with a case of believe-it-when-I-see-it itis????

Not trying to be needlessly controversial...just have some concern that on the eve of launch there are sooooo many verizon corporate stores and bb's that still seem sooooo confused and uncommunicated with. And just wondering what that could mean.

But I'll certainly be happy to sort this all out in 4G mode tomorrow! Wonder who will be the one to post first from a t-bolt. That would tend to cut through any remaining disbelief. :D

Nope. Lexington KY stores have the product now, so that means EVERYBODY has product ;) Just wish they would stage a demo today- not until tomorrow though :(

I was on the email list for at&t's Atrix and Inspire. I was emailed the day AFTER they were released. losers.

I was thinking the same thing last night. Almost wrote verizon a sarcastic message thanking them for letting me 'be the first to know'. I'm also on a list at a local verizon retailor to get a call as soon as they have any info. Still no call...

All of you guys who are upset for not getting an email are missing the point of that sign up list.

Enthusiasts like US, don't need to be oicially notified by VZW since we are always on these boards, scouring the net, etc. They know WE will be there on the first day to get our phones.

That sign up list is most likely for the casual customer who is due for an upgrade soon and "heard" something about this "Thunderbolt Thing". See the difference? These casual phone buyers could care less if they were notified a day late. Meanwhile, they know we will know as soon as news gets out over the interwebs so the "official email" means nothing to us.

I think verizon would have done better on their website if when folks clicked the "learn more" button on the t-bolt ad they were linked to this forum!

On a different note...even though I hold a $50 bb gift card for being on their preorder list since Feb. 6, I'm definitely going to sidestep this and purchase from my verizon store tomorrow. Even as late as yesterday, my bb wasn't sure what was happening and was still giving me an impatient, "don't call us we'll call you" attitude. I understand this mess has not been fun for them either, but now's the time they should be enthused and inviting. It's finally time to sell it geek squaders!!

(Of course, Jay, nothing but good feelings here for you...especially if you're planning any special pre-sale activity around closing tonight).;)

Funny you mention it. I was starting to get a bit worried since I hadn't heard from BB about my pre-order being in. So I just called. The guy I talked to in Mobile was super nice and said the phones *just* got drop shipped and he was going through the inventory now and organizing everything. He said he was starting calls in just a few minutes to set up times for people to come in "in an effort to control the craziness tomorrow". YAY! Now I just have to figure out an excuse to leave work early tomorrow and miss the staff meeting...
I wasn't really expecting to get the Verizon email given the experience others have had with getting the email days after the launch.

If the phone is good, who cares! All will be forgivin. If it suxx, we'll know why it took so long...because of problems!!!!

I'm still a little on the worried side as I stopped by my Best Buy last night and they still would not give tomorrow as the date. I asked even after Verizon announced it? They said they were burned too many time on this phone already to announce it before they have it in stock.

I'm first on their list as I per-ordered on 2/6/11 and at this point I still have not received a call.
