Exclude a single app from Market updates?

I have the Electronic Arts version of Scrabble installed. They recently released an update that weighs in at thirty-two megs, so I said screw that nonsense, I'll just keep the old version (which was pretty chunky to begin with - 20 MB or so, IIRC).

The problem is that Scrabble shows up on the "My Apps" update list, so I can't hit the "update all" button - I have to update all the other apps one by one.

Is there a way to delete Scrabble from the notification list, or break its Market association altogether, or some other way of getting it off there?

If you're rooted and have titanium, you can break the market link with titanium backup.

The only other thing I can think of is to turn all of your other apps to Automatic Update.

Sorry to resurrect an old thread but I'm having the same issue - I have a couple of apps that I do not want to update as I sincerely dislike the new versions, so I have to update all the other apps manually, as I can't "update all".

My phone isn't rooted, is there a non-root way around this, or should all other apps be set to auto update?

Not that I know of. Rooting and using something like TiBU Pro would be your best option if you don't like the manual setting in Play Store.

Personally, even though my phone is rooted I have everything set to manual. I like having control over what gets updated and when. This gives me a chance to see what the updates entail before I install and decide if I want them or not.

Yeah manual is better and on play store, check "from this device only" and "for this version only" boxes then read the reviews before updating.
It just means you dont have to install a dodgy apk file if the new version sucks

THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU! I was looking for this so I didn't have to update Wallet! You are AWESOME!

Am I laying it on a bit too thick? My apologies - I just was really psyched that I found this out!

Just a quick FYI, not sure if this behavior happens on all devices or just the nexus 7, but I have noticed that I have to reset Titaniums market exclusion every time I reboot or turn off the tablet.

The "break market link" option is aparently broken on above a certain android version :(
Not the devs fault but a google limitation.
id love it to work for apps like ES where i prefer the old version but im sick of seeing it in my "update" list lol. First world problem i guess :D

I have now four apps that I don't want to update because the new versions suck. Maps, Talk, Apex and a TV guide, specific for my country. This is becoming a real problem...
