Exclusive plan offer (text message).

I'm confused, because as of right now, the $35/300 minute plan is part of the new "unlimited" plan advertising. To all evidence, that plan will still be available after November 18th. The $45/1200 minute plan is NOT on the list and will be considered an expired plan at that time.

It appears that either the VM reps don't know what they're talking about, or that Virgin Mobile is trying to pull a fast one somewhere. Either way, it's frustrating and doesn't make them look good.

I agree with you 100%...I've heard different answers from different reps, from calling, from emails, from the social media teams, to what is being presented on the actual web site....I don't know why it is so hard for them to just actually post the explanations on the web page. I know these "new" plans appeared on the site around 10/5/14...With that said, VM claims that these plans go into affect on 11/18/14, yet they also say that a new customer right now only have the new options to choose from...Sometimes I judge my decision to stay with VM, but then again, all of the other carriers seem to have their issues as well...Transparency would be a really good thing...

So I wonder what the "New" New Plan will be for $35. And when they give a data amount figure, does that mean the amount of data you can use in a month in total or the amount of high speed data and then after that it is slower, but you still have data for the month. They make it so confusing.

By the fine print the new $35 plan will get you 250mb of "High Speed" data then you get throttled back to 2G speeds for remainder of month.

I called VM the other day because I wanted to see if I could switch my Boost Volt to VM, and my gf is looking at switching to either Boost or VM and I wanted to check of the expiration of the 2.5GB for $35 plan.

First, you cannot take a Boost phone to VM, even if it's the exact same phone, which is inanely stupid. (Also, the VM Volt is not on sale anywhere I can find.)

Second, the person I spoke with said the 2.5GB for $35 plan has no expiration at this time. Whether or not she knew what she was talking about, I don't know...it was one of 'those' conversations.

I've been having way too many of "those" conversations, with VM myself lately. They have become the place, "where the left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing"...And it's frustrating.

dont know if its still helpful but there is no catch... i was on the $55.00 plan and had 10 gigs they were doin a promotion where they double the data for less

The new 5 lines for $100 sucks!! They only give you a gig of data and you can't upgrade the data on one line!!

I was formerly on VM and sprint network is terrible where I live. My T-Mobile speeds on hspa+ are faster than sprint lte! My signal strength went from 1 bar to 5 bars on T-Mobile. I can roam for calls and text on at&t network. I have Wi-Fi calling usable anywhere there is free Wi-Fi, and it is preloaded on T-Mobile phone. Their $30 plan via Walmart gives me 100 voice minutes and 5gb of lte, which normally runs between 20-30 GB down. Best move I ever made was to trade lg f3 VM phone for the same model gsm T-Mobile version.

Hi kjcorley, Did you receive this offer via a text message also?
Did they say how much less you going to be paying?
To me the only thing that seems to be a catch is that if you switch phones you'll loose the promotion.

It is not a promotion its a warning..... they are ditching the current $35 plan for a new plan where you get more of something and none of another.... what they are saying is if you want a new phone upgrade now or you will have to take the new $45 plan with less than offerings than the current $35 plan

I'm sooooo fed up with being throttled by VM. Considering that their "high speed" (3G) is like being throttled to begin with!
Wife has a Tmo hotspot with TRUE UNLIMITED 4G for $40 mo. Found out we can add up to 5 lines with 5g each for only $10 mo each!
I got myself a hotspot and planned to drop VM go with strictly data using a Voip app for calls. But carrying two devices, both turned on and kept charged really isn't practical.
So now I'm looking for a great Black Friday deal on an unlocked phone or 5"-6" tablet that will accept a Tmo data sim.

I'm on Boost, and just recently, thanks to a friendly customer care rep, I was put on a promotional plan that's $55 a month with unlimited talk and text, and a whopping 10 gigs of data! I'm a heavy data user, being that I have no Wi-Fi of laptop, but even I can't use 10 gigs in a billing cycle!

yes you will but when you buy a new phone it always asks you to pick a plan there for you must change to something they offer... so once my volt becomes useless to me I will have to leave VM this time..... I couldn't stay on the $25 plan because my opti slider was full and could no longer instal apps that didnt like my handset..... so my only option is to jump on my girlfriends at&t plan with something like a note6 at that time

Ok, it's the 19th. Wasn't the new (worse) plans suppose to start on the 18th?!?

I still see my plan - $35, unlimited Text/Data 2.5GB and 300 mins. talk (It is rare that I talk over 15 minutes a month - 30 minutes top.) So I'm still happy.

What gives? Did they delay in worsening their plans?

No. You can stick to the $35 plan you're using now. That's one of two plans they're offering at the $35 level. The 250 MB one on the $35 has the unlimited talk minutes. That's great if you actually do more talking and texting on your phone, and have plenty of access to Wifi 99.9% of the time.

At least for 250 MB a month, that might be okay for downloading email... just set up gmail to not d/l pics and attachments automatically.

I actually just got UPGRADED for free. I was previously on the 300 mins with unlimited text ant 2.5gb of high speed data like most here, and they just bumped me up to Unlimited talk, unlimited texting, with the same 2.5gb of high speed data for the same $35. It said I would remain on this plan until I changed devices. Great deal for $35!
