u r very right!!
i owned a hero before & was very active, always flashing new roms & waiting for 1.5 , then i got fed up & got legend.

legend is a masterpiece!! in terms of design & everything, but so many days after owning it, i am unable to root it & flash any new roms. there are none only.

developers have got no interest in it!!

i am disliking more & more HTC So think i will jump the ship & sourcecode of galaxy s has already been released so when it hits the market everybody will jump in!!

Yes u r right..all the developers are updating only Desire, EVO , etc etc..but not legend...thats so sad. Moreover Indian Rom is still not rooted...Sad

see facts are
1. indian 1.32 is not rooted
2. 1.31 is rooted by paul on modaco
3. if u want root u have to create goldcard as described by paul & then follow instructions, so at the successful end u will get rooted 1.31 if u see on modaco u also will be able to flash 2.03 version which is rooted, i am using nonrooted version of 2.03 --all bus are taken care of in this version.

so go ahead enjoy rooting. but follow each step or u may brick ur phone!!:D

1. Does any one know how to send contacts via SMS to another phone?
2. How do I do a bluetooth transfer office files (doc etc.) to another device?

Any responses will be much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

1. Open the PEOPLE icons from Programs and then hold the contact that you want to send via SMS, select option SEND CONTACT AS vCARD and then choose the details that you want to share

2. Install Astro File manager from the Market and then search the document that you would like to share under SDCARD and then hold down on the item/document, select SEND and then choose the mode of transfer

Do reply if you need assistance.

Thanks my friend. The send contact as vCard shows MMS and email options only, I couldn't find SMS option. Am already using Astro and it didn't work for bluetooth transfers of files even after I installed the bluetooth module for Astro.

Any other suggestions?
 
These option work for me...not sure why it is not supported on ya device...I have transferred files via Bluetooth to mah frnds and also SMS'd the vCard....sorry bro will let ya know if I come across any solutions

Finally got the vCard SMS problem fixed by downloading Ciacs Contact Sender from the market. Now gotta find a solution for the bluetooth thing. Thanks.

Even im facing the same problem. m not able to send the files over bluetooth. im even not able to send ringtones using astro.
i tried linda file manager and to my surprise i was able to send the files through bluetooth.
bt a weird problem is that m still not able to send few ringtones. it sounds strange bt m not able to understand why only few ringtones m nt able to send? other types of files works fine when send through bluetooth

Did u try sending ringtones using the native BT share? u can do that when the music file is being played on the default media player, hit menu and hit share and select bluetooth... should work.... let me know

The blue tooth file transfer worked finally from Astro after I installed Bluetooth File Transfer from the market. Thanks.

i hav a problm......
i cudn send bulk SMS's....i hav various friends group in contact exceedin 50 in each group.......
every time i try to forwrd msgs.....i add a group....an my msg(SMS)..gets converted to MMS....an it notifies me tat MMS recipients cannot exceed 25......
any one can hlp......
 
Hey, any one how i can use internet using GPRS in my HTC legend.. i mean do i have to install settings provided by my carrier AIRTEL..or do i have to activate some setting in HTC LEgend ? ?

Yeah I'm facing exactly the same problem. I think it has something to do with Vodafone's settings. I contacted HTC regarding this and they said I need to change my settings from vodafone live to vodafone www. However, when i contacted vodafone about this, they didn't give me the right instructions so I'm still facing the same problem. These guys at vodafone have absolutely no idea how to deal with smart phones. For me, the worst affected usage is of the maps. My gmaps doesn't connect using the default settings nor does any of my other apps including the weather widget etc.
