Expanding screen

Hello,

I have a Galaxy 3 and have a question about expanding the screen. When I can expand the scree, the font does enlarge, but it no longer fits on my screen. I have to scroll from left to right just to read one line.

On my previous phone HTC EVO, this was not the case. When I enlarged that screen, the font enlarged but the html re-aligned to fit on my screen. This was the case even if only two words fit.

Is there a solution for this?

Thank you in advance,

Joe

Hi joeusa, and welcome to AF :)

I don't know the S3's browser, but on many browsers double tapping after resizing will make the text reflow, so give that a try.

Thanks for your reply. Unfortunately, that did not work. The double-tap brought the page right back to its original state

On the S3, while you are zoomed out, double tap and it will zoom in with text reflow. A double tap while you are zoomed in means you want to zoom back out.

Hello
maybe I am miss understanding what you're saying. But when I double tap it goes right back to the original size font

Check the browser settings themselves, open the browser check settings for font size, and zoom levels.

Try what Lilbit says, that should work. You can also try using a different web browser such as Dolphin or opera. :)

Good choices,:) Boat is also a good one.;) All these browsers have settings for font sizes, zoom levels, text wrapping, etc. I think a better browser would suit the user much better than the stock one the phone comes with.:D

Open the website on your browsee. You would see that the text is too small right? Double tap it right then. It would zoom in on the place you double tapped and reflow.

Also, i almost forgot, go into the browser settings and make sure that 'auto-fit pages' is turned on.
