Expected offline pricing?

I read earlier today that Spain's version of carphone warehouse was told by LG to sell the Nexus 4 at 599 Euros as the RRP. Does this mean that internationally it's going to cost roughly double to buy it offline?

I was glad to see LG had stepped up their game in tech and pricing but if it's anymore than $500 outright, I'm out.

It means Google got a great deal on helping design the phone and they are passing the savings onto those who shop with them.

Why do you need offline pricing? I understand concerns about sending it back or if it breaks, but because it's so cheap you could insure it for a few years which would include water damage/ loss/ breakage and it would still be cheaper than $500

Negri is selling it under 500 off contract both 8 and 16 versions.

After further reading, a high price tag is expected for on-contract users but no word yet on outright and unlocked. Good news for me since I prefer buying outright. What would a rough estimate be for in store however? Would roughly an extra $50 or $60 be about right?

It's $349 direct from google here in the US. That's roughly 272 in Euro. You guys are getting the shaft

1. Find a friend in the US
2. Have them buy the Nexus 4
3. Have them send it to you
4. Your Nexus is half the price

Don't forget US prices don't include sales tax which is added afterwards and depends on the individual state's rate, whereas in Europe it's always included in the price (legally).

Still works out cheaper in the US, but it's not as much of a difference as it seems at first!

For me in Pennsylvania it would be $349*1.06=$369.94, add on shipping to me, and then Europe so about $400 ->311 Euro. Still a screaming deal for you guys if you find someone

Well I looked to see how much that would cost, USPS quoting me $75 for a parcel to the UK. Added to US price this takes the cost of an N4 to

Unless Google has a presence in your state, they do not collect sales tax (assuming your state even has a sales tax)
