well i think it is better to not use an app. what you want to do is to partition your sd card and then use a2sd or dark tremors(depending on the rom) to move the apps to the sd card.
go here:

and go to the 2nd post and find the partitioning section for the info.
yeah but you have to have a rom that either has support for it or have a2sd built in. i never like miui so i do not remember if it has support for it or not. you might have to flash darktremors and then command he apps to the sd card. it is in the guide.

to be honest ics and jb roms just feel a bit slower and clunky on the og evo IMO. so i never really flashed many of them. the one that keeps coming up is strike, but that is a ics rom.
just go here:http://androidforums.com/evo-4g-all-things-root/618281-list-utilities-apps-roms-kernels-og-evo.html and checkout the staff picks for suggestions. make sure that you read the op for each rom. most of the time it will say if it supports a2sd or not. if the apps do not move automatically, then you can always just flash dark tremors and command the apps to move. if nothing happens then the rom does not support it and you can move on.
with dark tremors, you flash it then you use a terminal command to command the apps onto the sd card. you do not need the a2sdgui app. just command it in.
if it does not work then the rom does not have support for it.
mikg3.11 has a2sd cooked in so you should be good with that one.
deck's reloaded has support(it might be cooked in, but i can't remember....LOL)
those are the ones i recommend.....not sure on strike(but it is a good ics rom)
nope, once downloaded and flashed and you use tb to reinstall your apps, they should move to the sd card automatically.
ok cool, and what ext should i make my second partition, because it seems like everyonr i try doesent work haha
2nd partition? not sure what you mean. if you mean upgrading from ext 2 to ext 3 which is what i recommend.
i have a 16g card so i went with 2g for my partition with 32 for swap.
i think were talking about 2 diff ways to do this lol, im using mini tool on my computer, i havent done the way thru a recovery yet, if thats the only way i can do it then cool, im using a newer phone, this evo is just for fun, im not familiar with any older phones and how they work, just the newer phones
that is the only way i know how to do it....via recovery as explained in the guide.....is there another way?
yea if you use recovery it is the only way, im using mini tool partition wizard program on my computer, to partition my sd card, do i still need to do it thru a recovery, or should i only partition it thru the recovery since its an older phone, i dont know
as long as you partition it to ext 2 and then ext 3 with swap of 32 then you are fine using the program. if those are not the options then you will need to use recovery to create the partition as the roms may not recognize the partition that the computer makes. technically you can even upgrade it to ext 4 but most roms do not have support for it.
