Root EXT3 partition via pc partition editor?

I just used easus partition manager to format my card to include a 2gb ext3 partition. my evo recognizes the new partition size of my main partition, and easus says it completed successfully and shows my new partition. how do I view if my phone will recognize it?

Uh oh! CM7 isnt seeing my card at all now... after all seemed to have gone well, I tried flashing dt a2sd, got a bootloop. wiped data cache and dalvic, then reflashed cm7. Now it doesnt see the card at all. I can mount my card via cwm to see it on computer, and now easus shows it as a 'Super Floppy' Fat32 as the main partition and is missing my 2gb ext3 completely, and wont let me reformat to the full size of my card, uh oh...

Most roms don't know ext3. you should try to use easus to partition as ext2
