Extended battery and case review for SG N2

I ordered the Hyperion Samsung Galaxy Note II 6200mAh Extended Battery + Titanium Grey Back Cover and couldn't be happier. I've used Hyperion batteries for years for RC cars and planes. They are considered top batteries in the RC world.

Voltage on these is 3.8 like the OEM battery.

I'm on the beginning of day three with heavy "new user" usage. Still have 51% after two full days. I've been using the N2 as a home network WiFi hotspot with two computers connected, as well as phone calls, texting, navigation, web surfing, etc.

The rear cover that comes with it is a step shape, and fits well in the hand. The cover doesn't make the phone a whole lot bigger than the original, but with twice the juice. Cover is colored titanium.

I purchased these for $14.99 each, cover included, direct from Hyperion through Amazon. They shipped the same day and I had them two days later.

Now I'm looking for a good silicon case skin to fit the oversized case. Does anyone know of one that will fit these? Update: Seller says "TPU cases will be ready for sale in about a week."

Here's the link to the battery if anyone is interested:

Keep us up to date! I had a Hyperion extended battery/case for my S3 and I loved it.

Hyperion will probably release a Silicon case for the Extended Note 2 you just need to wait until they do, they are usually the only ones to make extended battery cases.

Half way through day three. Been on the phone all morning. About 2 hours total. Going through settings and app downloads as well. Still 44% remaining. 20 hrs 9m usage on battery

I do shut the phone off at night while sleeping, around 10:30 PM. Then on again around 8:00 AM.

Just ordered the battery. No Amazon prime so I will have to be patient.

Anyone try to pocket this? Would imagine it feels like a brick :p

The phone with the extended battery is about the size of two phones together. No problem in the pocket. Smaller than an empty wallet. Really not a big deal, and I'm a bit picky. The rear cover* has a comfortable feel to it.

* see my note in the original post above about the back cover.

Just received my extended battery. It honestly does not increase the size as much as I thought. And by the looks of the cover it has NFC but I have not tried it yet. Looking forward to testing it out.

Yours came with a different rear cover than mine. Mine is curved rather than stepped in the back. Mine has no NFC. The seller link I posted above seemed to be on top of things. Did you order from him?

The batteries are working great

It looks like it has NFC but I tried a tectile last night and it didn't work.

Update-12/10/12
It looks like NFC does work, but I had to pull the NFC tabs on the back of the unit out a little in order for them to reach the NFC on the battery cover.

Extended battery cover does have NFC but the little NFC pins are not raised enough for the phone to hit them. I had to manually raise up the pins on the back phone to make a good connection.

I received my battery yesterday and it came with NFC. It's the same back cover as the ones shown in the above pics. I haven't been able to test out the NFC yet since I have no tags or anything yet. Battery seems pretty good so far. I charged for about 12 hours yesterday since that's what the instructions said and used it for a bit more than an hour last night before bed and had about 90%. It seemed to drain much slower than the stock battery. I've been using it pretty much all throughout with watching videos to web browsing and downloading things and playing games. It's around 4pm here and it's at 67%. I'm not sure if it'll get better after calibrating it but it's definitely lasting longer than the stock.
