Extended Battery Cover

I noticed a small gap between the camera and extended battery cover (right bellow the flash). I just wanted to know was this normal or did I do something when I kept switching backs constantly. It's not that big of a gap probably less than half a millimeter and I have a case on it so it's not a big problem just something I will always notice. Does anyone else have this gap or do I have the cover on wrong.

PS I tried the standard cover and it is flush against the camera.
 
Mine is not flush either, so I'm assuming it's normal with the extended cover.

Both battery covers for me also make a "clicking" noise when it's picked up or pressure is applied just below the camera. As petty as it may seem, it's actually quite annoying as I spend most of my day in a quiet environment where it's noticable everytime I pick it up.
 
There is a tiny bit of space around the camera/flash thing. But it doesn't look like there is more space under than the rest of it. Also there is no clicking noise, the cover is pretty snug.

I would assume that something is wrong with the covers you two have received, but who knows, maybe they're all like that and I got lucky?
 
I had never noticed this until earlier this afternoon when I switched to my replacement phone. Seems normal and I don't think it's causing any harm.
 
Same here, not flush. I cut a small piece off a fairly wide rubber band and put it underneath to stop the creaking/clicking noise mentioned by a previous poster. Sad that we should have to do such things but whatever. What they should have done was spent more time on the ext cover and made it and the ext battery the stock option for this phone. I mean it's not a huge difference it mAH yet just enough to be enticing and it only adds like less than 1/16" to the overall thickness so...why not just make it stock, seriously? To make more money on accessories? Yes.
 
I would say if it is bothersome, maybe try and exchange it. Mine is definitely flush and there is no creaking sounds when I press on it.
 
Thanks for the responses, I just wanted to know if I had a bad cover or this was normal. Like I said I wont lose any sleep over it because it's in the case most of the day anyway.
 
I was looking at the extended battery since it's only 29 bucks now.

How bad is the creaking? Pretty annoying?

Might just get the 1850 that comes with a travel charger if it's annoying.

I don't notice it unless I push down from the back on it. It's pretty quiet even then. I now use a Cruzerlite case on it and don't ever notice it, but it wasn't annoying at all before the case even. Definitely worth the extra battery life for me.
 
I do have the gap around the flash, but i dont think i have the creaking. i read about it before, and even now, i can't get it to make a noise.
