Extended battery for Droid?

[Chuck1906]

I have the original first generation Droid and I was hoping there was an extended battery that would work with that phone but all I saw on the VZW website was a Standard battery. Does an extended battery exist?

Look for the Extended Battery for the Droid 2, the BP7X. It should come with a new battery cover as well. It doesn't add too much bulk either, but it still won't fit into any of your docks (if you have them).

It is an 1800 mAh versus the 1390 mAh of the stock battery...

You can purchase the Droid 2 battery with the battery door, both of them work although the door is a bit of a snug fit.

I have used this battery for the past 6 months now.

The phone doesn't read it with 100% accuracy since it isn't designed for the OG but it does work.

Thanks icecold!! I have my phone in a plastic body glove cover...i wonder if it will still fit in there with the new battery and cover...by the way are you an Alpha? (based on your "icecold" screen name)

My guess would be you can get the case on, but without the battery cover on. That is what others were reporting when the battery first came out, with Seidio covers, etc...
