Extended battery/Otterbox case

Wondering if anyone has paired these two. I want an otterbox on my Nexus, but I'm afraid it will not work with the extended battery being a hair larger. I tweeted @otterbox and asked them, but all they said was "if the batter is bigger, it's not compatible" - I don't know if there's enoug wiggle room in there for that slight difference!

i think it will work although i haven't tried it personally. The ext battery and cover are extremely small .Some people are saying that the stock battery cover will even fit over the ext battery.
 
Any updates? I went ahead and got the Otterbox, but was waiting to see if the battery would still fit before buying it. It's only an extra 14% or so capacity...
 
From what I have heard, trophy is correct. Others have said the extended battery fits with the original back and that they use the same cases.

I'm not 100% positive but I would say you are good.

I can say 100% positive it will work.

I have both the extended battery and that case plus another VZW had at that store. I didn't even put on the battery cover that came with the extended battery as it is identical to the stock phone's..., at least to my uncalibrated eye it is.
 
i have extended battery.....and my nexus is naked.....does original back fit?yes.....however,nexus is still tad thicker....as back bends.

i bought kick stand case....it fits....but not great.....asymetric grab...looks messy.

any1 find extended battery case?
 
Weird Jeffruby..., you're the first person I've read about having any fitment issues. My stock batter cover doesn't bend in the slightest and I certainly don't have any case fitment issues. The other case I got was the kick stand case. Strange. Hope you get it sorted.
 
for those of you with extended battery and case, are you using the defender otterbox case or the commuter series one?
 
does anyone know if the Case Mate "Tough" case? will fit w/ the extended battery?
the "Barely There" case doesn't seem to protect the bottom of the device so looking to get the tough one.
