extended battery with door released

wait for some company from china to release one. I got one for Optimus M for $27 last year. You are not going to be able to buy one for $10, sorry its not going to happen
I'm sorry to disappoint you, (I know I posted the thread about gold batteries) But they are fake and here is why.
Taken from Ebay negative feedbacks:
"This item did not work long. Almost same level as the normal one.

"This battery is a FAKE, a real amperage is 1300 mA/H !!!!! do not by !!!!

If you in fact bought it from ebay just open a dispute about this item and paypal is going to give you money back.

Hmm... Didn't know that. I haven't bought one but I know a couple of people on this forum who have. Well, one is currently using it and another is waiting for his to arrive. It is funny that the gold isn't any thicker than stock. I wont be linking to that battery anymore until more reviews about that specific battery start showing up.
I'm currently happy with my stock battery life so I will wait another six months or so before getting a different battery. Hopefully by then more options will be available.
As I said if someone tries to scam you, scam them back. CC dispute, Paypal dispute, Amazon complain. Everyone is going to be on your side. Ebay is full of crooks, I had to deal with few myself. I ordered this battery with door, I'll get an update as soon as I get it.

Thank you for info. I'm looking forward to your update on this new proper extended battery. If you can please take a picture to show just how much thickness this thing adds to the phone. The extra thickness of extended batteries make me hesitant to buy one, that is why I was so interested in that fake gold one. Scammers suck!
Common sense tells you that if the battery is the same physical size as the OEM it will have a similar capacity. If the battery technology was good enough to have almost twice the capacity with the same size cells, you can bet the OEM's would be using it and the phone would have come with such a battery to begin with.
I recently got a battery from Ebay rated at 1800mah which is reasonable for a stock-sized one, and it has been doing pretty well.
I actually have a battery analyzer that can measure the true capacity of any battery, if I ever get motivated I could do a test of both the OEM and aftermarket to see how they do.

I ordered one, it appears to be shipped, but since I'm in NY and my area got hit hot by Sandy pretty god damn hard. I don't know when I'm going to get it.
Ok I just got my battery and I'm going to post some stats and updates on it. So far as I can say regular phone thickness is 7/16 inch (right it between 3/8 and 1/2 or for even shorter version, slightly less than 1/2 inch). With extended battery and cover phone becomes 3/4 (which is approximately 1/4 of an inch thicker). Back cover is made of decent plastic, same as the original one it's corrugated. It fits the phone really well.

It probably is not on Ebay yet, nor amazon. I'm sure it will be on those sites eventually. I'm pretty sure he bought it directly from the manufacturer's website in which he linked to in his very first post.
Oh, I didn't see that he was the original poster, lol. OP, how much hours of usage were you getting before? Also let us know what cases you found for it. I think I will put an order in within a few days.
Strange thing I noticed. At first my battery percentage dropped from 100 to about 85 in minutes. Then It stuck at 9%. I reboot and get 25%. No clue what's causing it. If anyone has any solution for calibration please let me know.

Wow, 6 hours of screen time is pretty cool. I can only get about 3 hours (maybe) on stock battery and that is with screen brightness on 30%! I know there are battery calibration apps that delete the batterystats.bin file. I have no idea if that will help, but it wont hurt nothing to try it out.
I know this sounds stupid since you probably already know this. But did you keep charging it even though it said 100%.
