Accessories extended battery

that guy

Newbie
for the moto droid one i was wondering if there was a slim extended battery i saw someone mention it on a different thread, but i was unable to find one after a couple hours of googling it all i could find was the giant Seidio extended battery and the droid 2's extended battery... if anyone found the slim one let me know... or if you have the droid 2's one how is that ?

The D2 extended battery is the one - it is slightly thicker than our standard batteries and requires a modified battery cover door (which currently comes in blue) - but when you order the battery it automatically comes with the door for the D1, although it is blue in color.

seidio also has a 1750mAh slim one that does not require a new door.

That is weird (this is an edit) when I did the first cut and past of the item it specifically mentioned support droid. Now , no?

The 1750 was originally for the Eris and then the DInc came out so it fits both, does not work on the d1

The only "slim" extended battery is the one for the d2 but also fits on the d1 with a different back cover

I have one of the Droid 2 extended batteries on my Droid 1 also and it works great. After I got the battery I charged to 100% and then drained it down to less than 5%. After that it seems the phone reads the battery charge left much better.

The only real negative is that if you have a shell on your phone it may not fit with the new battery and cover. The Siedo Innocase works if you leave the battery cover off. The Motorola shell works with battery door in place.

this is weird today I have had my phone on for 13 hours and its still going strong at 50 % battery left with the original battery in it... wifi is on along with gps and 3g... bluetooth is off tho... but still... yesterday it didnt make it past 10 hours before dying.. i used it about the same, but i spent more time on calls today though...

I do recall seidio having listed a droid slim battery. I even recall some people using slim extended batteries a while ago and reporting on them. Odd.

i'll revive this thread as i was perusing seidio today and see that the slim extended 1500 mAh battery that was listed as 'coming soon' for the longest time is now shipping.

i just wonder if it is worth it when the oem battery can now be had for like $5 on amazon.

Wow, not sure the value is there.
For the price of one battery that last maybe 2 or 3 hours longer you could buy 6 or so off of amazon.

So true. It's what I did. All lasted good, until I washed one of them (I bought 2 spares + a 'universal' Motorola battery charger (does all of the B series batteries, BP, BS, etc.).

The remaining 2 still work perfectly fine.
