How often do you use your phone though? My phone being constantly on wifi or being played with (school is boring so i need entertainment. Pandas vs. ninjas FTW), and i'll be lucky if i can make it through an 8 hour day without panicking and turning everything off on my phone. Wifi, gps, and sometimes even going to Airplane mode.

Green Power Free or Paid verision - Turns off whatever your not using thus saving you battery.

yes wifi and specially gps will eat your battery good...but i also turn off background data to.

I turn off every program except for messaging and a few I use like Trapster and Super Task Killer.. I can go all day without the battery going dead. I do have to check every so often because somehow these programs keep turning themselves on every so often, like Google Talk.

Those apps are restarting because android is designed to keep its memory full of inactive apps. Because they are inactive, they don't drain any more power than if that ram was empty. The benefit is that apps load quicker when you need them.

Using a task killer actually drains the battery, because every time android has to restart the apps you killed, it uses power.

So long as you remember to sign out of Google talk once you're using it, you'd be better of uninstalling the task killer and not worrying about what's running.

@deadhorse You do need to be careful when buying extended batteries - many are equal to or worse than the original.

Although if you do get one like that, you can always carry one as a spare.
