Extended Battery?

The only thing I have found so far is this:

I have looked every where for an extended battery for the optimus elite and cannot find anything anywhere. All that seems to be coming up are the external batteries. I am searching "lg optimus elite". I cant even find a regular batter to buy for it. Am I missing something?
Search for VM696 or LS696 (Sprint name for the phone, anything for that one should still work). Mostly coming up with external batteries, internal ones are the same size as what comes stock.
Edit: Oh wow, you found one...Hmmm, 600mAh more.

That looks like a generic Chinese battery, so don't be surprised if the mah rating is grossly exaggerated.

There was an extended one on Amazon a few days ago like 2,000 mah. It was like $30 but maybe they sold out.
There won't be as you can tell a market for bigger batteries and bigger case covers. Knowing the NFC built into the stock cover should have told you this.
But anyway, buy 1 or two or three extra batteries on Ebay from China. They will perform like the stock battery, and if you believe the milliamp ratings the seller says, then I'm the Prince of Nigeria will you Western Union me $5,000 and I'll pay you back 10x.

They can reroute the NFC on a replacement cover easily enough, it will increase the cost though. NFC is nothing special technology-wise.
Give it time, if there is a big enough market, it will happen. As it is, I'm just waiting for Anker to make a nice internal.

I have a stock battery (o.e.m) for this phone I'm gonna sell if anyone is interested? Also if anyone buys the Chinese brand battery off Ebay, could you post a little review? Thanks!

It will have 1/2 to 3/4 the the rated capacity, no thermal sensor, and the interior parts such as wiring and things will be of low quality.
Leslie Ann would like to see the product information, numbers for the testing you did, you have for the battery you bought for the Elite, and any pictures you have of those low quality internals....
Try to be helpful, not make things up for some unknown wacky reason.
There is nothing wrong with batteries you can buy from Ebay or Amazon for $10 or so shipped. They will hold charge and perform just like the stock battery, and perform way better than a stock battery that is a year old and not fresh anymore.
Just don't believe the capacity claims if it is more than stock...and remember you're getting a spare battery for $7-$12 shipped, who's arguing?

Simply use them, and it is obvious they overstated the capacity claims. SOME will outperform a year old, abused battery, of course, because the battery is trashed. Not because the cheap battery is any good.
It has long been known that Chinese manufacturers overstate their capacity.
I have yet to buy one for the Elite, I'm waiting on Anker to put one out because the cheap Chinese batteries are only good for short term emergency use.
I have an OEM for the Optimus V and two generics. I also have two OEM and one Anker for my Evo 4g, and one oem and one Anker for my Evo V. The generics are clearly substandard while even looking at them and hold far less. I have also seen and used several Chinese notebook batteries, same thing, and they only last a year or two at best in most cases. Ask a few who have bought them, it's not like this is a secret.
However, take a look at this if you doubt it.

I also have bought Chinese batteries on eBay for both a laptop and a couple PSPs. They are substandard and cheap. You get what you pay for.
I am hoping for a good high capacity battery to come out for the elite. If not I'll buy a pair of crap batteries for 9 bucks on eBay and use them to fly with. (Germany is 8 hours from here and I NEED to kill me some Zombies - hehe.)

No sorry, thank you for proving you have no personal experience with Ebay Chinese Optimus Elite batteries. And when I asked you to provide details, you have none.

Guess what, I had Ebay Chinese batteries for my Sprint EVO 4G and VM Optimus V also....and they were better than non-fresh OEM batteries every single time. What does that prove, nothing. Except that they work. And for $7 to $12 shipped for one or sometime two of them, who cares??
Don't talk like you have personal experience with a battery for the Elite or trash Ebay Chinese batteries like you are some authority. You're not....and yeah, you made things up just because. For some unknown reason??

Folks, I see posts have been edited and I've also deleted some. Please take this as a reminder to attack issues, not each other.
From my personal experience (not with the Optimus Elite, but many of my other Android devices) is that the batteries you get via eBay, chinese retailers etc aren't really worth it. They don't appear to offer anything more than stock batteries but conversely nothing less either. Even though OEM batteries cost a little more, I'm more comfortable having one of those powering my phone than something that's half the price.
From my personal experience (not with the Optimus Elite, but many of my other Android devices) is that the batteries you get via eBay, chinese retailers etc aren't really worth it. Sorry to be so unclued in to such things, but I assume that you just put the battery in as normal, and charge, and then remove and you have a spare fully charged battery to use when your other one runs out, or am I being way to hopeful?
Also, where do you buy them, I can't find anywhere that sells OEM batteries, just the cheap versions...

That's about the long and short of it, yeah. Although with Lithium batteries, I seem to recall that if storing/not using for any extended period of time, don't charge them fully. I think 40% was about right. If you're swapping on a regular basis, to 100% should be fine.
Not sure about LG batteries, I've always had HTC handsets so always bought spares directly from from them.

Having experience with a battery made specifically for the Elite is irrelevant. They are all pretty much the same internally.
I never claimed to be an authority, but I do have significant experience dealing with them and done the research on it.
Try the link I posted, you might be surprised at the results of testing various Chinese batteries.
Would you like to retract any statements since I will be doing real life testing on an "Accessory Extended Battery" made specifically for the Elite? Which cost me $4 shipped by the way on Ebay!

Oh yes, because I'm super worried that your $4 battery will match up to an OEM battery in terms of capacity, lifespan, sensors and build quality. My reputation would totally be ruined... RUINED I say!!
Is there something about Elite batteries that somehow makes them different than other similar batteries that I don't know about?
If you find those batteries are as good or better than oem let me know cause the couple I tried on my optimus v kinda sucked. They didn't last as long and the first went bad after a month and other lasted about 4.
I've also tried a cheap one in my hp laptop and that one really sucked.
They just don't seem to handle high current draw very well
But everyone has their opinion and can use whatever battery they want. For me I will stay away from the cheapy ones as they don't work the way I want.

I know, don't trash me for this being my first post but I just had to drop my two cents. I bought a couple batteries for the Elite off Ebay from China and they all last about HALF what the stock battery does. They are rated the SAME as the stock battery... The seller has a 99% rating.
Just saying....
